The Burrow Session No. 31 - Simon Mogul Quintet feat. Jesse Jones Jr. and Curtis Lundy

An extraordinary meeting of generations, where jazz legends come together with the artists shaping its future.

For one night, The Burrow welcomes rising tenor saxophonist Simon Mogul, alongside two celebrated figures in jazz, Jesse Jones Jr. and Curtis Lundy, for an evening of authentic, hard-hitting jazz rooted in the New York tradition.

Originally from Miami and now based in New York City, 26-year-old Mogul represents a new generation of musicians deeply rooted in jazz tradition while forging their own musical identity. His debut album, Simon Says, released in 2026 and produced by Lundy, marks the emergence of a compelling new voice.

Joining him are two remarkable musicians: Jesse Jones Jr., Miami-born saxophonist and dynamic performer whose career includes collaborations with Dexter Gordon, Donald Byrd, and Clark Terry; and Curtis Lundy, acclaimed bassist whose musical legacy includes performances with Betty Carter, Pharoah Sanders, Freddie Hubbard, and countless others.

For Jones and Lundy, both with deep musical roots in Miami, the evening also marks a homecoming.

An intimate encounter between jazz’s remarkable past and its exciting future. A celebration of tradition, mentorship, and fearless improvisation, just a few feet away.

Door opens at 8 PM, show starts promptly at 9 PM.

At The Burrow we respect our artists and their craft so we encourage our guests to interact with them through the show but also to please keep personal conversations at a bare minimum during that time.
