Cinema Salon. The Blues Brothers- Music as Celebration

Cinema Salon. The Blues Brothers

Music as Celebration

Some films tell a story through music. The Blues Brothers throws a party with it.

Jake and Elwood Blues set out on a wildly improbable mission, gathering their old band and leaving a trail of chaos behind them. Along the way, the film becomes an exuberant celebration of blues, soul, gospel and R&B, brought to life by an extraordinary lineup that includes Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, James Brown, Cab Calloway and John Lee Hooker.

Funny, irreverent and overflowing with rhythm, The Blues Brothers reminds us that music is not only something we listen to—it is something we gather around, move to, and celebrate together.
