The Burrow Session No. 16 Vincent Hsu Trio feat. Dafnis Prieto and Martin Bejerano
Music has the power to carry us across cultures, revealing that the deepest human emotions often speak a universal language.
Award-winning Taiwanese bassist and composer Vincent Hsu has built an international career by weaving together jazz, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and the musical traditions of his homeland. A graduate of New York University and a protégé of jazz masters including Andy González and Cecil McBee, Hsu has performed at some of the world’s most respected festivals and venues, from Havana’s Festival Internacional Jazz Plaza and the Madrid International Jazz Festival to Blue Note New York and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.
Recognized by DownBeat Magazine for his acclaimed album Music for the River Jazz Suite, Hsu is celebrated for creating music that bridges continents while honoring the cultural traditions that inspire it. His performances are a conversation between worlds—where Taiwanese melodies, Afro-Cuban rhythms, and modern jazz come together with remarkable elegance.
An evening of discovery, connection, and exceptional musicianship that reflects jazz at its most adventurous and universal.
